The samsung site shows that the bd-f5900 has over 450 apps available and this model seems to have less? why is that? Please confirm if this J model has fewer apps available. Also, does the webbrowser support steaming videos in flash?

The BD-J5900 does have fewer apps offered. You can stream videos in Flash on the webbroswer.
