Wanting to put it in a microwave cubby and wanted to make sure toaster part does not get too hot. I would have a few inches clearance on each side and about 1inch above. (it's not a built in)

One inch clearance on all sides works for the LG 1.1 cu/ft Mid-Size Microwave.
