compatability

will this work to get pics and music off the hardrive from a dell 530 inspiron DESKTOP COMPUTOR HARDRIVE?
This is nothing more than a case for a 3.5" hard drive. You would need to purchase a 3.5" drive separately.

Does the Sd card fit flush to the edge to the laptop

I want to be able to have a sd card in all the time and was wondering it it would stick out halfway or at all as that would make a huge difference in buying this
