GPS and Data
OK, I'm an old goofy guy with a dumb phone. I want a GPS phone.
Will this draw from your bank of data as you are using it?
The GPS itself doesn't draw from your data store because it receives signals directly from the GPS satellite network. However, GPS navigation apps require maps which must be downloaded from the internet, which will cost data. Most do it in real time, which will cost you data every time it updates the map. You can mitigate this by using an app which stores the maps on your phone and downloading them using a wifi network instead of your data plan.
