How long does it take to start cooling/freezing?

Just bought this refrigerator, and I don't feel any cold in either freezer or refrigerator sections. I call Samsung customer service and they told it takes 24hrs (installer said 5-6 hrs). My concern is that the digital temp display shows -8 deg F (I set it to 34 deg F), but it actually feels warm inside when I open refrigerator. To me there's something wrong, even if it takes 24hrs, I should feel some level of coldness after 5 hrs now.
The compressor should kick within a few seconds.

What are the differences between the different 30 pin charge and sync cables?

What are the differences between the different model numbers of the Dynex sync and charge cable? I bought the Dynex DX-BA3 (now discontinued) cable last year and was extremely dissatisfied because it broke very quickly. What are the differences between that cable and the current model numbers DX-6A3 and DX-SA3? Are the current model numbers any more durable than the previous model number which broke so quickly on me last year?
It has a 1 year warranty so if it brakes quickly it is free to fix.
