Would this be compatible with a Chromebook Laptop?

I'm considering buying a Chromebook, but because the hard drive space is so small, I'm trying to decide the best method of storage. I have several gigabytes of music (mp3), around 100 GB of videos (various formats), and I would also have lots of documents, presumably created on "Google Docs" app.
Any advice is appreciated.
