Remote Control Compatability

Looking to buy this unit. Plan to use optical output from my cable box into the sound bar.
Didn't see any other option for HDMI?

Will my regular TV Remote(Cable Remove) control sound levels on the sound bar. If yes, how do I program it?

This sound-bar does not have HDMI ports. It is compatible with most universal remote controls included with cable or satellite service. Your cable or satellite TV provider usually provides a guide for programming their remotes at time of installation. Service providers also provide instructions for programming their remotes on their websites.

I would like to find a tablet that has the ability to down load both mobi and e-pub e-books, since I have both the kindle and nook e-readers. The nook reader died. I have many books of both that would have to be transferred to a new tablet.
