These were very easy to install, and configuration is near zero. Just plug both of them in, push a button on each to set up encryption, and that's it. Speed is very good, and I can run multiple computers through it simultaneously.

These give good sound quality at a very reasonable price. They were for my son, and fit his smaller head very well. Too small for me though, it sits on my ears rather than around them. The cord is fairly short, so you'll have to stay close to your audio source. All things considered, a good value for the price.

The noise cancellation barely does anything. The only real effect of turning it on is to increase the volume of music. Testing with various background noises, I only noticed a minor reduction of noise with the reduction turned on. Not at all worth it. Returned within hours.

Does this product have a built in surge protector?
No, and supposedly you can't put it behind a surge protector. The surge protector supposedly prevents the network signal from getting through cleanly. If you get the model with the extra outlet, you could plug a surge protector into it for other devices, but this device itself will remain vulnerable.

It uses a standard headphone jack. If your laptop has this jack, it will work.

Does this work with steam, do i have to download any drivers? or would it work if i just plug it in?
Yes, it works with Steam. I've used it with a few Steam games, and the default Windows 7 driver setup works just fine for them. I wouldn't recommend it for any FPS games, as a mouse is far better. But for platform games, or multiplayer games, it works wonderfully. I've got two controllers which I use primarily for multiplayer such as Tales of Zestiria and various Lego games.
