I bought 2 of these, one for me and one for my husband. They provide great shock protection without too much bulk. They have enough texture to hold onto without snagging on your pocket when you try to take it out. I bought smoke since I read reviews saying the clear yellowed over time. Looks great.

This was very easy to set up and use. It does take awhile to "boot up" but works great for watching Amazon Prime Instant Videos.

I have the Luna charger which I like. I wanted to get one for my husband as a gift, but they didn't have the Luna so I bought this. It's ok in a pinch to give some extended time, but it will not charge an iPad completely one time and cost twice as much as the Luna.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Great quality picture, easy to use
This is a great picture for a good price. I didn't want a lot of fancy features that make the TV too complicated to use for just watching cable TV in the kitchen. This fits the bill perfectly.

does the device needs to be charged or is it battery powered
It doesn't have its own battery. It gets its power either directly from the TV port you plug it into, or you have to use the cord/plug that comes with it and plug it into an outlet.
