The battery life lasts me days and the headset sounds great. I love the buttons over the right ear and they're noise canceling so that's a plus. Better than the PS headphones for sure.

How's the sound detection of enemies?

For example,
Footsteps in the distance , how well can you hear them, can you tell how much distance their is between you and opponents ?

Gunfire , can you differentiate between where your being fired on from ? As well as even distant gunfire/ explosions ?
You can hear it very well. I play destiny and often play pvp. This headset doesn't even need to be at max, and I am able to know where it comes from, how close, etc.

Could it be used for a tv with a digital audio output?

Maybe, if you also had a USB port. they are designed for the ps4 - It requires a USB port to power the Bluetooth signal.
