how do I know if I have usb 2.0 or 3.0 and will the red one support 2.0?

I'm not an expert, but look up your item (laptop) on google and it will tell if your laptop has 2.0 or 3.0 usb port. most of the newer ones should have 3.0. the red one I have does work with 2.0, but it's a bit slower.
