Excellent sound for computer without having the need for a sub. The volume control knob is very nice also.

wHICH BOSE SPEAKERS?

Would you recommend these $250 Bose Companion 20 Multimedia Speaker over Bose $100 speakers (Bose Companion 2 Series III Multimedia Speakers)?
Definitely these sound so much better and fill the room much better. The little extra size makes a big difference with the bass reproduction too.

What kind of audio input port is it? Optical? Digital Coaxial? 3.5mm?

Just an ordinary headphone speaker plug that's fits the laptop/computer.
