Great Headset for Gamers

I purchased this headset for my son to play on his xbox 360. I favored this headset because it's wireless and it was supposed to work for xbox 360.
Even though the box says it works for xbox 360, and it comes with a cable for xbox 360, it's not a talkback cable, which prevented us from controlling the chat volume heard via the headset. The volume controls on the headset are just for the game volume, not chat. As the cable that came with the headset for the xbox 360 was useless for us, so we had to purchased a turtle beach talkback cable from Amazon, which worked great. Now we can control the chat volume via the talkback cable and the game volume via the headset.
As for the charger, it lasts forever and so far, we haven't had any issues with battery running out in the middle of the game. However, if it does, the charging cable is so long that we can continue playing and charging at the same time if necessary.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Use while charging?
Can you use the headphones while they are plugged in and charging or do you have to turn it off and let it charge?
You can play while charging.

will the tv sound still be heard by others while these headphones are in use? i dont want to hear my son's video game while he is playing
If you are using the headset to play video games, you can just change the settings on your console to output the audio to the headset instead of speakers. On the PS4, just choose Output to Headphones on the Audio Output Settings; on the xbox, change the voice output setting to play through headset. The headset comes with instructions on how to configure these settings if necessary.

how do you charge them
It comes with a charging cable that you connect to your headset and to any USB port available on your console or computer. I already had a charging station for my controllers, which came with two extra USB ports. So, I just connected the headset charging cable to one of the charging station USB ports instead of connecting to my console.

PS4 question
How does this work with the ps4 do you have to use a cable to the controller ? Also could I use this setup just to watch tv when my family is asleep ?
This headset comes with a talkback cable to use with PS4.

What's the battery life like on this thing?
The box says 15 hours of game play, but I haven't experience battery running out on it yet, and I have already played for more than 15 hours. The benefit of not having cables laying around the gaming area and the ability to walk out of the room while still chatting is priceless. Even if the battery runs out, the charging cable is long enough to allow me to charge and play at the same time.
