I debated for months on cancelling my Directv and going to streaming only. Read reviews after reviews on several brands and the apps available on each. Roku won every time, hands down. Then, which Roku? We were on vacation, and bought the stick to use at night with wifi in the hotel. We've never looked back and never upgraded to the higher level Roku streamers. It does exactly what my family needs. I just bought a second stick today for my bedroom!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can you switch Netflix profiles

Absolutely, you sign in to Netflix on the device when it's originally set up. Never again. All profiles associated with that login show up on the initial screen each time you select the Netflix app on your Roku device.
