What's great about it: it functions as a remote for the PS4
What's not so great: It requires that one controller port is used in order to operate
Having Used my PS3 as a BluRay player, almost more than as a game system, I was anxious for a simple remote control for the PS4 to be released. After waiting for over four months for an accessory that should have been available at system launch, I purchased this item impatiently.
Note: This is a third party accessory and functions as such.
The PS3 remote control connects directly with the PS3. This DOES NOT work the same way.
This remote requires that you place a small item in one of the controller ports in order to operate. That means that if you have to connect both of your controllers to the system to charge then you will have to remove the connector that allows the remote to communicate with the ps4 (not to mention, it is very small and easy to lose).
Also, the controller itself is missing some KEY buttons. While you are watching a BluRay, there is no way to get to the home menu of the ps4 by simply using the remote. This remote was poorly designed.
On a good note, it does work to rewind and fastforward and pause a movie.
If you can wait for a different remote to be released and aren't impatient like I was then definitely wait until sony releases their own remote.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: good signal. small, lightweight
What's not so great: battery life
It is hard to find a nice, inexpensive but effective portable radio these days. While the price is a bit high for what it is. It suits its purpose well.
I would recommend this to a friend!
