can you get nbc,cbs,fox etc.

No, only recorded and aired material is on fire. No live TV.

I have followed all directions but get no smart tv it just goes back to station that was on tv when starting this process...

can't fiigure out what I am doing wrong. I have 4 HDMI ports. My cable box is plugged into #2. I plugged FireTV into #4. Does this make a difference?
Are you using the correct input? If 2 works, try fire in 2.
