It is a fast and reliable USB drive. The only negative is the size. It can be almost half the size of they got rid of the key ring hook on the end of it. Also the fact that it retracts also adds to the length. Other than that it works as advertised and is very fast on a USB 3.0 port.

After reading some of the reviews I was skeptical whether or not this product would work for an extended period of time. So far this product is working flawlessly. I didn't find the administration set up within the router any more difficult than any other netgear router. Netgear did a good job at keeping the interface similar throughout their product-line.
This router has an exceptional range almost twice as far as my old router and also now into my basement.
For the novice user that just needs a router for extended range and can work with the default configuration then this router will work perfectly fine - just plug and play.

Can I connect this to the home router and leave it on 24 hrs for sharing files across home network
I think you will be fine. I have one that has music on it and have it plugged into my car. It goes through extreme temperatures and has be to read every time I start the car. It has been 2 years and it still works fine.

I want to connect to the internet without using telephone line
This would require some sort of high-speed connection like a DSL,cable or fiber optic Service coming to your house. If you currently have a dial-up connection using your telephone this will not change that Nor willl this device work with that type of service

How to hook up?
My apartment complex just got internet service for all of the apartments.According to the apartment manager I don't need an internet modem.All I have to do is plug my desk top computer into the internet outlet that was installed in my apartment.In this case how would I go about hooking up this Belkin Wireless Router to my internet service?
Just plug the Ethernet cable from the wall into the WAN port on the router.

Do i really need the cd-rom to set up the router?
I currently have a school laptop and it is very picky about what to install upon it so i was wondering can i just install it online or anything
Most routers do not require software to be installed on the computers anymore. They have a web interface for you to connect to if you want to configure them. If you are concerned about installing a configuring anything from the laptop then I would suggest getting a netgear router. They come preconfigured and secured it's pretty much plug-and-play

With this router are the ports for an RJ-45 male connection? Is the ethernet wire than comes with this router an RJ-45 male connection?
All routers no matter the brand come with female RJ-45 connections. The ethernet cable are male RJ-45 connectors. This is industry-standard.

Will this router's ethernet wires fit into a Motorola cable modem?
I previously bought a Belkin for $29.99 and the connector clips were too large to fit into the modem.
The back of your modem may have multiple connections. An ethernet connection and probably a phone connection. All ethernet connections are identical in size and are larger than the phone connection. It sounds like you are trying to plug ethernet cable into the phone port on the modem. Buying another router will not help with this problem. You need to locate the ethernet port on the modem and plug that into the router.

how far does the wifi connection go, in feet?
This is a hard question to answer because of the variables. Your coverage distance all depends on what is between the router and the and device trying to connect there could be walls, metal, brick, and any other items that may create interference with the signal. Using a standard ranchhouse as an example, you should have no problem getting full coverage within the entire house and the surrounding property if the router is located centrally in the house. I would estimate about 75 to 100 feet radius.

You cannot install Wi-Fi in a vehicle to provide Internet connectivity while traveling using a household router. The router needs to connect to some sort of service provider to provide Internet connectivity. While I have seen car stereos that support being able to connect to Wi-Fi this is usually achieved through connecting to a cell phone that has been set up in hotspot mode. If you need wireless while on the road I would suggest purchasing a hotspot device from either Verizon or AT&T. It will provide you with Wi-Fi access for your devices while on the road.
