HP - 61 Ink cartridge - black, is a great ink for paper print. It yields a lot of pages when set for regular print and so much more if you print in grayscale. You can barely tell the difference. It worked ok on photo paper for a couple of cartoon characters, but I haven't yet tried an actual photo. I'll let you know...

wrong cartridge

my new HP printer uses 62 and I bought and opened 63. Can I use them, both color and black and white!

You can only interchange inks if it is made with the same cartridge. Check it against the old one. If it's wider, longer, taller or just different it won't fit. You should be able to take it back, if you haven't removed the tab on the cartridge &/or destroyed the packaging...
