I like this antenna. There are no rabbit ears, just a flat box that I can place next to my TV.
Pro: saves and create a spacious area around the TV for a less cluttered look.
In addition, it is cheap and affordable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The converter box I got from Best Buy works fine, except for the inconvenience of the remote control. For instance, when I want to change the channel, the numbers I press do not correlate with the TV. I would sometimes push for channel 9, the remote will send the signal to the TV to input the last channel to be inputted. I can push the number 9 on the remote in five times and and it will still fail to change to channel 9. Other times, I will push for the channel to change, and the converter will shut off. In other words, I would return it or exchange it if I could.
I guess one good thing I can say about the box it that it is an easy set-up.
Pro: easy set up
Con: remote sucks - no recall button
crossed signals between remote and box
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It may be that you need to fix your antenna. If that does not work, you may need to adjust the antenna and scan your channels one more time.

Currently I am paying a monthly fee for converter boxes through my cable provider, can I use these boxes in their place? I'm tired of the fees!

Yes, you may use the converter box in place. The only down side is that you will no longer be able to watch cable TV. You will be able to get up to about 44 channels of regular TV on these boxes.

Pro: no more fees
Con: no more cable

Depending on what TV you have, Flat screen v. the bulky older version, you may also need to buy an antenna.
If you own a flat screen, then you may not need a converter box. Just the antenna.
