I am especially fond of the remote app that is downloadable from the App Store, but appreciate being able to use these bad boys when my phone is charging in another room. Even though the Appel tv comes with a remote, having a backup is great. If you have more than one Apple TV, your remote(s) will work automagically with all of them, without you having to do anything to connect them!

I use this to read things and purchase items on Amazon. It doesn't play all of my favorite games from the App Store, nor does it sync to my android projector, so I don't really get full use of the larger screen. I think for my uses, I should've just purchased the e-ink version or maybe a full-android version.

The day I spill coke all over my keyboard, I'm sure it'll be worth it. I have used it so many times on my cell phone, I saw no reason to not get it on my Mac. Thankfully, I've never had to use it, but if I hadn't paid for it, I would've dropped my computer down a flight of stairs.

Bought a Mac and this on the same day because the Mac comes with very limited internal memory. I've experienced a few problems with this router pushing signal at slower speeds than the non-Apple router, but I guess the auto-backups makes up a few points for this device. Still haven't really figured out what my benefit is to having a this for backup over just using the iCloud, but it is another device I can say I have.

...but be careful when you want to download all of your iTunes media. I've plugged it into my router so that it's available to me without dangling off of my laptop. Unfortunately, the device is designed to be included in backups of your hard drive, but if it's plugged in to the router, it will not be backed up. It is probably a better accessory for an iMac or Mac mini because you don't have to continuously plug and unplug it!

People rave over these devices, but I'm not a loyalist. These devices still don't come with touchscreen, a good quantity of internal memory, or a number pad to the right of the keyboard (even on the wireless keyboard). Great if you have an iPhone because your calls and messages come through here. If youre in the market for a Mac, Apple doesn't offer any loyalty programs, so Best Buy at least makes the purchase worth your while by giving Rewards Points.
