Okay so how does this work. I have 4 devices, two upstairs and two downstairs. How do i connect my upstairs and downstairs devices to the hub and be controlled by the app? How does the app turn on my tv and receiver upstairs and downstairs?

Depending on the devices and how big the house is, you may have a few options.

1st being use the hub and relays for the electronics in one room and use the remote (line of sight) in the other.

You may also just need to get another hub to control all simultaneously.

can this item be used with google home?

I don’t believe it works with Google Home, but I’m positive it works Amazon echo. It’s the reason I bought it.
