For the price it's a great little monitor. The aspect ratio is on the wide side but perfect for my spreadsheet work. I don't really see any distortion, e.g., the image looking squat or stretched out wide.
I'm happy with the sale price I got from Best Buy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I know I need speakers to get sound since this monitor does not have built-in speakers. How do I connect speakers to this monitor and my CPU?

Any recomendations on speakers for this monitor?
You don't connect speakers to the monitor. They are independent of each other. Both connect to your computer. You connect it to the output sound port on the computer. The sound will come out on the speakers and the video will come out on the monitor.

My new laptop only has USB ports. Can I connect this monitor with a USB?

Not with USB, but I would guess your laptop also has HDMI or displayports. With adapters you might be able to connect it. I connected mine with vga connectors.

Is there a telescoping post available for this monitor?

I recently purchased this monitor and while very pleased with it, I find it too low for my desk situation. Is there an alternative post/base I could purchase? I would like to raise it about four inches.
Stand seems fixed. no tilting or telescoping.

Doesn't appear to tilt. Stand seems fixed.

Are any of your monitors compatible with MacBooks?

This monitor had a vga connector. Most Apple devices would probably need display port connectors.
