What's great about it: Everything, long cord, gets close to baseboards, easy to empty
What's not so great: cost
All around great vacuum, will recommend this vacuum, must use to believe, the dc65 multi floor is the exact vacuum cleaner as the dc 65animal and animal compete without the extra attachments and extra dollars. If you don't need them don't waste the money.
This product is or has... Enough suction that a single-pass does the job, Right length hose, easy to empty, A great pet hair picker upper, Long enough cord, Allergy filtration does the job, Easy to carry, Convenient to store

Will this model clean carpets as well as the other one (for pets) that has a motorized brush? Crucial question!

Will this model clean carpets as well as the other one (for pets) that has a motorized brush? Crucial question!
Yes, the motorized brush is in the attachment tool for couches not the vacuum cleaner. So yes this vacuum will clean the same for carpets.

Motorized brush

I realize the PET MODELS have the motorized brush but we do not have pets and was wondering if it would clean as well. From the one answer I rec'd previously, it sounds like he was not sure but that I should vacuum more often. I can do that with a much less expensive vacuum.
The motorized brush is in the attachment tool not the vacuum. So the vacuum will clean the same.
