This TV was bundled with the 65" LG OLED by best buy. I replaced the old LCD in the spare room. It turned on easily and is much more capable than the prior set. For me it's a bonus to have WebOS on both sets.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Ok, LG OLED is expensive. However, I've never seen anything so beautiful. Colors pop against the absolutely black blacks. OLED is emissive so no backlight to grey out the blacks. Full 180 degree viewing angle unlike any other I've seen. 3D is amazing. 4k is 4k. Did not have to upgrade sound system as it comes with optical cable for audio out. I'm very happy with this product. Best Buy was competent in delivery and haul away of the old one. They chose to use component video for hookup which was a poor choice. This set needs HDMI from the cable box. They should have known better.

I have read that OLED tech has life-expectancy problems. Any comment?
With the great numbers put up by other TV technologies and given the very high relative cost of OLED, it will be crucial to decision making to have some idea how long this set will perform.
I've heard that it can suffer from burn in if you leave a static image on it. This is covered in the owner's manual. OLED is fairly new, but has been around in small screens for more than 5 years. Maybe the lifetime limitations have been resolved with latest developments.

Why couldn't I mount this television to industry standard mount?
Geek Squad had to return this television to inventory. It can only be mounted to a wall using the LG OLED mount. Studs have to be positioned perfectly in order to position this television in a specific place. I would have had to position the television in a very undesirable place to mount it. Seems very short-sighted of LG not to have a way to modify the wall mounting of this wonderful television.
Best Buy is now including the LG mounting kit. Too bad you had to return your set. Seems a shame they wouldn't throw in the kit. The set is too amazing and expensive to mess around over something as simple as the mounting kit.
