It works great, my grand babies love it! Yes you can watch 2 different movies at the same time. It does however only come with 1 AC power cord & 1 car charger, so if they both need plugged in to charge you can only watch 1 movie unless you purchase additional cords.Otherwise great. I bought this for a Christmas gift & bought the Geek squad warranty & it is supposed to be transferable, but after numerous calls, they have still not switched it over it my son.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does it play 2 different DVDs at the same time?

yes if they are not connected together using the cord supplied

Will these work with separate wireless headphones?

Yes it has 1 head phone jack on each unit
