Does this TV connect to the internet?

nsignia™ NS-40D510NA15 LED HDTV - All the reviews answer "No" to "Internet Connectivity". Does that mean that I can't use it for Netflix with Wifi?
This is not a Smart TV...meaning no direct Internet connectivity. However, I have mine connected to a DVD player that has Wi-fi built-in and this is how I get Internet connectivity to the TV for Netflix and email, etc.

What is the width of the TV?

Best Buy doesn't have the width listed for some reason, and I need to know if it'll fit on my TV stand.
The overall width is 35-1/2". This is the outside dimension measured from left edge of the bezel to right edge of the bezel.

It has a "standard" VESA mount...matched perfectly to my old wall mount.
