If you don't mind casting movies, youtube, etc, to your big screen, using a cell phone, tablet or other device, then you are going to love the Google Chromecast Ultra. When and if Google Chromecast Ultra comes with a on tv screen guide and remote, these Chromecast will fly off the shelves.

Yes, but be careful not to plug too many into the surge protector, as you might overload the circuit in your house and you will have to go to the circuit breaker box and reset it.
