The band is held together by a simple magnetic end. If you are doing any moving at all with your arms the band slides. It is probably a good band for anyone that is not active though.

Do not waste your time buying any other vacuum! Especially Sharks. There is only one other vacuum stronger that a Dyson, that is outer space! We bought a shark rotator professional, we were told it would be the best for our home, we have no carpet, that piece of junk would not pick up simple paper scraps off the floor, after about 2 hours of trying to use it, took it back an bought another dyson.

Motorized brush
I realize the PET MODELS have the motorized brush but we do not have pets and was wondering if it would clean as well. From the one answer I rec'd previously, it sounds like he was not sure but that I should vacuum more often. I can do that with a much less expensive vacuum.
Do not waste your time and your money with other vacs. I had my original dyson over 12 years, when it finally died we tried the shark rotator pro. That thing was the biggest piece of junk ever. Had the suction of an old man with copd trying to suck up dirt through a straw. You COULD but cheaper vacs, but you will never buy anything better. Spend a little extra and get a 10 to 15 year vacccuum, or you could buy a new cheap one every 3 to 5 years and end up spending 2 times the money.
