The sound of this item is poor. Doesn't compare with the Panasonic it is replacing. The remote fast forward/forward skip and the rewind/back skip has a terrible setup so while trying to fast forward it is very easy to inadvertently start the whole thing over. Using the remote it is very difficult to skip to another disc. It doesn't always work (like 90% of the time) and you must resort to skipping the disc from the main unit.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When will it be in stock ?

Please, please don't buy this. What a piece of junk. Trays that don't stay open to load a disc. Remote that won't skip a disc. A ridiculous remote that combines fast forward with skip to next selection. Look for something else - I wish I had.

It takes 8 "C" batteries. The batteries install from the bottom of the machine. There is a diagram inside so you will see how to correctly position them.
