Wow this phone is amazing! I am still finding new things this phone can do everyday & I've only had it for just over a month! I highly recommend this phone and Apple products in general. My next computer/laptop will be an Apple just because of how satisfied I am with their iPhone 5s. If I had to give any negatives in regards to Apple or this phone, it would be the price. However, I got a great deal because Best Buy had a deal earlier in the year that all you had to do was give your phone number and when you come back to get a new phone by Dec. 31st, you get a $50 gift card towards it! They have done this deal the last two years & they even ran it this summer. So I ended up getting two phones (I have a shared plan) for $100 instead of $100 each! I love the great deals at Best Buy especially when I don't have a lot of extra spending money.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Yes you can buy it unlocked but you have to pay full price, which is around $700!

I have a iphone frome verizon and a contract. will my wife have to singn up for a contract?

You can add your wife but I'm sure you'll have to sign a new contract. Anytime I've made changes to my plan, they had me sign a new two year contract. Hope this helps.
