What's great about it: Controls are easy to use and dryer has a very large capacity and has a steam function and a sweater rack.
What's not so great: lint trap
I have only had this dryer for about a month, but am very pleased with the performance so far. The settings and controls are very easy to use and the dryer has sensors that stops the dryer when the clothes are dry. It also has a steam option and a sweater rack which I haven't used yet but intend to. Dryer plays a song when it is done instead of an annoying beep or buzzer. I also like the see-through door which allows me to make sure nothing is tangled.

What's great about it: Great capacity, easy loading, easy start.
What's not so great: Detergent drawer seems cheaply made.
I have only had this washer for about a month, but it has already saved me a world of time due to its capacity. This is also the first washer I've had that didn't have a center post. It is so much easier to load than my other washers. All controls are easy to use and digital readout lets me know how much time is left in the wash cycle. I wish I had bought this several years ago. I also love the see through lid so I can wash the cycle and make sure it is working properly and the song it plays when the cycle is over instead of an annoying beep or buzzer.

HOW DO I GET THIS DRYER TO HEAT

THIS SAMSUNG DRYER WORKS FINR BUT I GET NO HEAT
I have not had this problem with the Samsung dryer, but had it with my previous dryer and it was almost always due to my dryer vent being clogged. Usually a bird had climbed into the outside vent and built a nest and then there was no air flow. We had to take a leaf blower and blow it out, blowing from inside the laundry room towards outside to clear it out and then the dryer heated fine.

Can you wash bath mats and other water resistant items like plastic mattress covers?

Directions tell you not to wash water repellant items in it.

can I use spray and wash on my clothes to get out stains in this HE washer?

to get out stains in my husbands polo shirts; can I use spray and wash to spot treat in the samsung he top load 5 cu washer? I just purchased this machine so I need to understand if I can do this for this machine.

Can I add my detergent myself while washer is filling with water, and NOT use the dispenser?

No, when you start the wash cycle the lid locks. Not sure why you would want to do this since the washer does it for you.

Can this washer use HE powder detergent?

I've read that some HE washers do better with powder detergent. Is there a preference with this one?
I believe the directions recommend liquid detergent, but it can use powder detergent. The drawer for the detergent has a tray in it for the liquid detergent that you remove if you use a powder.
