Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18–200mm f/3.5–5.6G ED VR II Standard Zoom Lens: This powerful and versatile Nikon standard zoom lens is a great one-lens solution for DX-format DSLRs. Its wide angle to telephoto focal range gives photographers a flexible tool to get the shot without having to switch lenses.

What's great about it: This is the only lens you will need.
What's not so great: Price and weight
I love this lens because it takes the place of the smaller lens and the zoom lens. The only thing bad is the weight. It's a little heavy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Easy to use!
What's not so great: Price! I don't like the video feature.
I think this is a great step up from my D50. I don't think it should have the video feature. A person buying a SLR camera in this price range isn't buying it because of the video feature. It seems it would be a little cheaper without it. Everything else about the camera is great. It's easy to use. It takes great pictures but the high megapixel isn't necessary unless you are using them for billboards. I would highly recommend this camera. It gets bonus points because it comes in red!

Nikon D3200 or Nikon D5200

My wife is new to photography and would like a DSLR. I am not sure if I should get the D3200 or pre-order the D5200.

Being a beginner is the D5200 going to be too much or is it better to start with the D5200 and allow her to grow into that camera.
I would go with the 5200 and let her grow into it. It is pretty easy to figure out. There are multiple beginner book on this particular camera that are really helpful. She will love the different features of this camera that the 3200 doesn't have.
