Sony's new video app distorts any wide screen movie/video played from a USB device. Until there is a firmware update this is very disappointing. Would not recommend if you watch a lot of movies from a USB device.

Can i add a hard drive?

Would not recommend this TV if you are going to watch movies via USB from an external hard drive. Sony's new video app distorts any wide screen movie/video to full screen played from the USP port. Sony still does not have a firmware update for this. Very disappointing.
