Cold AC, but noisy

The AC is very cold, but it is noisy. The noise is negligible since it's kind of like a washing machine, background noise. The remote control is kind of cheap looking, but it's functional.
I would recommend this to a friend!

will a regular electricial socket work

I think you mean a 110 volt? Yes, and three prong. My electrician told me that for an AC, you could get away with using a 3 prong adapter in a 2 prong outlet, but it's best to have a true grounded three prong outlet.
