outlets are well spaced and designed for accommodating difficult plugs. Didn't have to work hard to get all my plugs setup correctly.

What's great about it: good feel. Eraser. side button is easy to find "blindly"
What's not so great: nib isn't replaceable
The only thing that keeps this pen from having 5 stars is the lack of a replaceable nib. Otherwise the friction on the top feels great, and the eraser feels good as well. Great tablet pen. Wouldn't recommend it if you already have a true Wacom pen, as the replaceable nibs are much better on those. but if you're in the market for a digitizer pen for half the price of the wacoms for a tablet with a wacom digitizer, this is a great choice.

If one (or more) outlet(s) were to fail, what indications indicate that?

This unit replaces another strip whose 6 outlets failed to function, yet there was no failure indication provided by that other brand to save me the time-consuming effort to determine why I lost power to those six items (including two computers, a monitor, etc. My question is based on how best to diagnose what is wrong, should an outlet fail in the future.
Best way to do this is to use a device called a Killawatt. Plug it into any outlet and plugin a lamp or something you know should work and it'll tell you if the outlet is drawing power.

can i use the thunderbolt to connect my ps3 to my Imac computer

No. The Thunderbolt connector on your iMac will likely allow you to use it to connect another Mac to it, but without a different adapter it will not take an HDMI signal through this adapter. This adapter is to convert a Thunderbolt signal to HDMI, not the other way around. See these articles for more info:
