We decided to try OOMA Telo to reduce our phone cost compared to Xfinity voice. Install and connect were very easy. We have had a couple quirks to get used to, but the voice quality is comparable to Xfinity's cable voice service. Occasionally a call is dropped when we answer it. This seems to happen less frequently if we allow it to ring more than twice before answering.

I considered the Arris SB6183 since it has many great reviews and has been around a while. I did not like that the Arris presently is not available in black. I don't like the way the LED lights bleed through the white plastic case.
This Motorola MB7420 has better specs, is newer, and is gray...no light bleed through. Has worked great so far.

Nice remote for the sale price ($69.95).
Like: No need to point remote at anything--IR blasters are powerful enough to reflect off ceiling and walls. Buttons should not wear out on the tablet/phone app as physical remote buttons eventually do. Program transferred easily from my existing Logitech My Harmony software.

Dislike: TV sub-channel button on the app number pad is grayed out and unusable. This makes no sense to me because that sub-channel button does work on my Harmony 700 remote and also the mechanical remote that comes with this Harmony Smart Control so I know it is programmed, just not usable in the app. Tech Support is reportedly seeking a solution for which I am still waiting....

My LG OLED55C7P is just under 48 1/2" wide...actually about 48 7/16". If your stand is only 48 inches wide it will not fit if the stand encloses the TV on both sides. If your TV sits on top of a 48" wide stand, the TV will overhang the stand by about 1/4" on both sides.

Do you need to use the app to control devices in cabinets
It looks like you can use blue tooth from your smart phone/ipad etc to control hidden devices but can the remote control also control dvd players and other devices behind closed doors?
Yes, the Harmony Smart Control can control devices behind closed doors. You can use the app on your tablet/phone, or the mechanical remote that is included with the Smart Controller. Either the control hub or the included IR blaster must be placed inside the cabinet. Your remote or tablet/phone app communicate with the hub via wi-fi but still use IR to complete the signal path to your devices.
If you have devices inside and outside of the cabinet, then either the hub or IR blaster must be located inside and the other outside so both areas are covered by the IR signal.
