What's great about it: battery life
What's not so great: Price.
I'm not that familiar with 3d glasses, but this seems to work well. I used this with Avatar and was impressed with the 3d quality. I normally prefer 2d, but the 3d experience with avatar makes this product worth it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: the colors and clarity is amazing
What's not so great: Sometimes the whites are too white. Could be my settings. Also, a bit expensive
This is by far the most amazing TV I've ever seen. I may be biased since I favor Pioneer electronics.

i just want to transfer vhs to dvd do i need a tv hookup ?

and if so does it have to have a satellite/cable box or converter box?
it's alot easier if you do have a TV hook up. Can't really see the menus without it. You could try and use the manual and hope you are pressing the right button in the sequence they say, but this would not be an easy task. you do not need a satellite/cable box or converter box. can connect directly to a tv.
