My only issue with this drive was the SecureAccess encryption software which seemed to create a "hidden" partition which I was unable to remove, even after re-formatting. I couldn't to run the DiskPart command and clean the drive due to administrative restrictions on the PC I was using so I don't know if that would have solved the problem or not.
The read / write rate seemed faster than a similar PNY drive (I did not actually benchmark the drive, just my opinion).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can you delete the U3 Software from the drive?. Just want Plug & Play.

I believe so, I have done this with other SanDisk drives in the past. Usually a re-format is all that is required. If this doesn't work try cleaning the drive with the Windows DiskPart command line utility.

Is the SanDisk Cruzer 8GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive compatible with a HP computer?

Yes, I used this drive on an ancient HP Pavilion running XP Professional.
