Had a router purchased through our internet provider for $85 to extend our internet coverage throughout the house, it no longer worked after less than a year. I was told it would be another $85 for another one. I thought an extender like this would be all I needed. It was! Just plugged it in with a couple of other easy steps and was working. Much cheaper and no service call!

I have only used Word & Excel a little. Bought it for Excel because I updated to El Capitan and my old Excel wouldn't do labels anymore. Many new features. Labels work great. Had downloaded a trial of Office 365 so doing the transition of deleting and loading required a call to support, but all working fine now.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not much to review, except when I plug my iPhone in to sync or upload pictures my computer doesn't seem to recognize it as being plugged in. I finally got it to sync but not load to Photos. Have to plug directly into computer. Don't know how other things will work. This is on a Mac.

This item is fairly easy to use. Load the software and you can view your video while recording to your computer. You can then copy to a DVD or edit in iMovie or other program. The only minus is if you stop for a reason you can't just continue.

Can I connect to my router wirelessly and then run a component from the extender with Ethernet cable
You don't need a cable with the extender. It just plugs into an outlet. NETGEAR - Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender with Ethernet port

Does everthing come with it needed to transfer to DVD or do you need to buy extra cables?
no need to buy a cable, the USB cable comes with it and the cables for your VCR
