I work in wireless tech and play with these devices everyday. No one can compete with the screen response of Samsung. Though of course you can feel the difference between a $500 one and this one; but for the price, it is best

I want to use this as an E Reader. How good is it for this purpose?

The screen is only a 7 inch. Is it difficult to read because of the screen size? .I know that you can adjust the print size but by doing this do you have to keep moving the pages from left to right and up and down? To me that might make it difficult to read..
As e-reader it may not be best option. But the reason is the reflection. Its screen is not built as kindle or nook, to be good as e-reader. 7" screen is good enough to read actually, esp because you can zoom in or zoom out the text as per your needs; but because of light reflection, you may find it hard to concentrate and your eyes will feel tired.
