Previously had expensive phone with all the bells and whistles. Lasted just short of two years (luckily had two yr warranty). This ALCATEL fierce 2 didn't have 5 star ratings but is a quality phone for my needs. Talk, text, and data. Fits in my hand well. Not too big. Camera is good too. Priced reasonably
I would recommend this to a friend!

I just need phone to receive calls that's it
I find Wal-Mart My Family Mobile the cheapest. Talk and text now going for $13.50/month (introductory rate, $19.98 if promo is expired). You must purchase starter kit too ($59). Cheapest in long run. My Family Mobile or T-Mobile phones both work.

Can I use a Walmart Starter Kit with this phone?

I ordered a Samsung T199 and Starter Kit on Walmart website, but they canceled my Phone order because they were out of stock. So now I have a Family Plan Starter Kit and Sim card, but no phone. If I buy the Samsung T199 off of best buy, with them both being powered by t-mobile, will they both work together.
I also have family mobile. Wanted the ALCATEL FIERCE 2. Cheaper at best buy because discontinued. Put SIM & SD card in from previous family mobile phone (LG optimus). Both phones compatable with T-MOBILE. All worked out fine. No problems. Hope this helps
