What's great about it: Easy to install and great sound
What's not so great: No cons yet
I was suprised on the sound quality, a lot of connection options, Optical, HDMI and 3.5mm jack and BLUETOOTH. It even came with a wall mount. I liked that is was a low voltage installation. The sub is not crazy loud but loud enough to enjoy. Overall a great product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

how to power off when tv is turned off

I have the new samsung plasma 60pn8500 and haven't been able to get the soundbar to power on and off when the tv is turned on and off. I've tried the auto power on the remote.
If your connected by HDMI you can turn on ANYNET and it should turn of with the TV

Yes you can go by bluetooth or by 3.5mm jack.

Do I need to run any cables from my DVD player to the Soundbar?

In addition to the above ? Do I need one or the other but not both HDMI OR Digital Optical Cable connect the soundbbar to the TV?
If you go HDMI you would have to go from your DVD to your sound bar and from your sound bar HDMI to your tv. ( that means you need two HDMI wires. Or you go HDMI from your DVD to your tv and then OPTICAL from your TV to your sound bar, unless you have sound share on your TV ( you wouldn,t need no wires from your TV to your sound bar.

Does this work well with 46fh6030 samsung t.v?

I would like to know which one is better for this model 46fh6030 Samsung t.v, the hwf550 soundbar or the hwf450?
I would go with the 550, better sound, more watts.
