When coupled with the modem this router is super fast and delivers both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz together without the need to toggle between speeds. My only regret is not upgrading sooner and the long suffering use of my old router

Can this extend my wireless to my next door neighbors house if I want it to?

My grandmother lives next to me and she has never had internet but it would be nice if she could get an ipad and use my wireless and get on facebook and see all her grandkids. Is there a range extender out there that could do that for me? She lives about 100yds away next door.
You may need a booster but yes, with the 2.4Ghz channel

is this still a safe router mine is about5yr old?

When he has a tantrum it will zap him between the eyes. This is not a toy. Why do you make it accessible to your children? Do you also put knitting needles next to electric outlets so he can experiment sticking them into the outlet to see what happens.

I have had this exact router for 6 years and now because of its age and other items connected I I cannot connect to my laptop . Does this system block others interfering and is there a password block system attached.

6 years huh. I'd say you got good usage. Bite the bullet and upgrade. Technology has advanced light years

What is the difference between N and AC models and is Netgear better than Belkin? I have a large home with 3 cell phones, a tablet, 2 laptops and Wii U and the router/modem is located in an upstairs room while everything else is in use downstairs.

I found Netgear to be superior. You should have no issue with 2.4Ghz but may need to get a booster to carry the 5Ghz band to the far reaches of your palace

Land line phone

Will this work for a land line phone? Media com says we need a router to switch to their phone service for 7.50 a month rental! I have this router. Can the technician use this router? No internet service. Help! Thank you!

will this work with ATT Uverse WIFI (6Mbps)?

ATT replaced my working 2 yr old wireless router, which I bot from them, with a new router and are now charging $7/mo to lease it and I want to buy my own. They also took the old one. Thank you!
