I bought this refrigerator on July 1st and it stopped working on July 23. It worked ok for the first three weeks and then started to get hot and popped the circuit breaker multiple times. It is actually 12volt and will work in the car and does come with a AC/DC converter. It's made in China and the plastic is thin. Not a quality item. To bad I had high hopes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Type of cooling

How is the refrigerator cooled; Compressor & Freon or solid state electric heat exchanger?
The refrigerator is cooled with solid state electric heat exchanger. Unfortunately it doesn't work very well the thermostat is programable down to 4C however the lowest mine ever went down to was 16C.
