for $35 you can stream most video content from your phone and/or tablet and in some cases you can mirror your laptop screen on tv with no long cords. Once you plug it in you never need to touch it again. I can't see anything wrong with that. The only thing its missing is support from xfinity go and cinemax and starz. It works for all android and ios devices. this is good stuff for $35.

Where do I find the cast icon?

it depends on the app. once you've installed the chromecast app it appears in various places on the compatible apps. Usually it is located on the right side of the screen at the top or bottom during whatever video you have playing.
