do ethernet ports work even when wireless modem is turned off
to reduce exposure we turn off wireless modem when not in use. Would the Ethernet ports still be on?
Don't think so. If you power off the unit, the built-in switch is powered off as well. To reduce your exposure, you should configure the WiFi to use WPA2 and a very strong password. Rather than turning the unit off, you could access the modem's setup page and turn off the SSID broadcasting. Some wireless routers even let you set a schedule for when the WiFi is turned on. Hope this helps.
