Bought and returned/exchanged this item. The reason I returned it was because there was quite a bit of light bleed from the edges. In the bottom left-hand corner, there was a noticeably large lighter patch than the rest of the screen. Though it was only noticeable w/ darker content, it was still annoying. I would have exchanged it for another, but I was also not impressed with the Android TV interface. It left a lot to be desired in the way of usability.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Easy to set up
What's not so great: Nothing
Quick set up. Decent price. Can't complain about it at all. I think there are some cheaper options if you warned to mail order, but if you wanted something right now, this is the most cost efficient and best way to get it immediately.

Will this mount a 48" TV, but an Insignia?

This will enable you to mount any TV, Insignia or otherwise, just as long as you use the proper hardware (included) to do so.

will this wall mount work for a samsung un40j5200afxza

Yes, it will. I've mounted both a 49 and a 55 inch TV using this product and it's very easy. It comes with all of the proper hardware and has a 'cut out' that enables you to line it up where you want on the wall. It's just as easy to put it onto the mounting as it is to take it off, too, which makes it a great proposition for when/if you move.
