What's great about it: it's white and different from the other cords on my desk
What's not so great: Expensive and doesn't charge very fast
The original equipment always charges faster and the knockoffs always charge slower. They work, it just takes longer. I'm not an engineer so I don't know why, this is just an observation. I'm sure your local geek can explain it. This cord comes from Apple with the Apple branding but works like the knockoffs. It takes overnight to charge. I was disappointed because it cost so much. Next time I'll buy the knockoff for $5 and save $20.

What's great about it: quick & easy to install
What's not so great: semi-permanent. Hard to take off & on
I'm not a hunter, but the mossy oak scheme helps me find my iPad quickly and it protects the camera as well as the case itself. I like the stand and use it daily.

Yes, it is shielded. I believe all USB cables are shielded.
