Sennheiser hit the ball out of the park with these headphones. Very affordable at the promo price, I was able to pick these up on Best Buy's website for a very affordable price. Couple mods have to be done to these out of the box but afterwards I wouldn't trade these headphones for anything. Very long cord that comes with these headphones is too bulky in my opinion. After the mod I performed I was able to plug in any cable I wanted and truly made these headphones a treat. Open back design provides a large and ultra-clear soundstage. 10 out of 10 would buy again

Wondering how well they block the sound on an airplane. I don't really care about audio quality, just blocking the background noise so I can watch movies on a long flight. TIA

These are open-back headphones so there is no noise cancelling available. I can wear these headphones and hear everything fine around me still. Might want to recommend closed back noise cancelling.instead of these.

I want to listen to my TV via headphone and 20' cable & jack. If i plug the cable into my TV, will the sound coming from the speakers be stopped and channeled to my headphones only and will +20' of cable distort the sound coming to the headphones?

The impedance rating is really low on these headphones so I don't think you should be able to run into any problems with using a long cord. If you're still running into problems I have might recommend using a headphone amp. If you want to use any other cable other than the one that's provided you may need to open these headphones up with a screwdriver and mod them. YouTube is helpful.
