Works so much better than the Samsung Blu Ray player I wasted my money on. The Roku connects to my WiFi and none of the apps on it have any issues connecting to the WiFi and staying connected. The Samsung Blu Ray is an absolute piece of garbage.
I would recommend this to a friend!

slingbox500 from comcast to roku 3

I bought a slingbox 500 to run off my comcast want to use roku 3 somewhere else but have no mobile phone service there. There is web service can i use the roku 3 to down load the slingplayer app. direct. Or is there a better product like appletv or amazon ?
Amazon Fire stick and the Roku are virtually the same thing. They connect to your WiFi and use the streaming apps to connect to different services.

ABC, NBC, CBS?

do you get the local channels like ABC, CBS and NBC? I'm going to order Netflix, but I'm just wondering if I can get the antenna channels with Roku USB stick. Need my news and sitcoms, lol
You still need some streaming account like Hulu. Roku is not an attena to pick up broadcasts
